Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ibertioga's Luís Fernando Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Novaes in the 21st minute of play. Dagoberto Penha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Benê Teixeira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Novaes in the 28th minute of play forced Ibertioga's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Moraes in the 29th minute of play forced EC Calango's goalkeeper Dagoberto Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes EC Calango got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Aparecido. When João Augusto Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibertioga's protests and gave João Augusto Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ibertioga's João Augusto Koehler got a free kick in the 39th minute. Kléberson Munhoz might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dagoberto Penha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kléberson Munhoz ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
After 51 played minutes Ibertioga got a freekick which was hit by Josué Schmidt. With a little luck, Ibertioga's Luís Fernando Correia got control of the ball when Ricardinho Novaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 54 played minutes Ibertioga got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Paes. João Augusto Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When Josué Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Dagoberto Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Moraes in the 61st minute of play. João Augusto Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Penha having to interfere. A collision led to Ibertioga getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Faustão Moraes hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, Ibertioga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauan Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fernando Correia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Zé de Senna. EC Calango's Agnaldo da Silveira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Josué Schmidt, made in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Arthur Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fernando Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Martins in the 85th minute of play. Faustão Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Penha having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Ricardinho Novaes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Fernando Correia. The goal made the score 0-1. When the final whistle sounded EC Calango left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ibertioga.
