But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aílton Tepedino couldn't finish the play. real casinhas RC's Juarês Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save real casinhas RC from getting a goal against them. Juarês Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Meireles in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Atlético Mineiro defense, Ismael Vides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgílio Porto. The Atlético Mineiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgílio Porto should have stopped the shot. real casinhas RC's Ismael Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Atlético Mineiro getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Valério Meirelles hit a great ball. Juarês Abraão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caio Meireles went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched real casinhas RC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
