In the 3rd minute, Beto Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Breckenfeld in the 7th minute of play forced Nagana FC's goalkeeper Waldir da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Paulista was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Júlio Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 14 minutes, Marcel Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nagana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Nagana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Breckenfeld came free, but Waldir da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vila Pindense's Kléberson Terra got a free kick in the 21st minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Toninho Aguiar put in a rough tackle. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nagana FC! In the 30th minute Júlio Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Zonta struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Waldir da Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Pindense. Waldir da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Júlio Breckenfeld's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldir da Cunha was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Júlio Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Pindense's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Breckenfeld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir da Cunha came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Pindense's Edgar Zonta. But to his dismay, Edgar Zonta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Júlio Breckenfeld came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Vila Pindense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Breckenfeld couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute Júlio Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christiano de Azevedo made a kick off. José Augusto Cosme took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Waldir da Cunha. Nagana FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 55th minute, Gil Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vila Pindense were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Nagana FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Beto Paraibano took the corner. The corner ended in Edgar Zonta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nagana FC's Waldir da Cunha did a great save. When Edgar Zonta in the 58th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Waldir da Cunha kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. When Christiano de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Nagana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiano de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Edgar Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir da Cunha having to interfere. Vila Pindense's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Zonta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Breckenfeld got free with Waldir da Cunha in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgar Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Waldir da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Tião Vidal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nagana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Pindense the free kick. In the 74th match minute, Nagana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Vila Pindense's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
