Alfredo Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Allan Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Oswaldo da Rocha fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Maurinho Cabral, passed just outside the right post. Amauri de Senna took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Fontes. Allan Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oswaldo da Rocha to make the kick off. Oswaldo da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oswaldo da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Maurinho Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SÃO SEBASTIÃO FC. Paulão Maciel charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The SÃO SEBASTIÃO FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing M1to Paulista FC to win.
