Wilson Simão was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luciano Cruz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Matías Veloso hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Luís Fernando Vianna sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edson Aguiar skillfully saved the ball. If Nicolas Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tupi's goalkeeper Luciano Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hernani Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luciano Cruz having to make a save. Cacá Falcão was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. Cacá Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Edson Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Fausto Salgado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tupi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 46 minutes, Joélson Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rulizovisk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joélson Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After 54 minutes of play, Rulizovisk's Hernani Mattos made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luciano Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hernani Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hernani Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Luciano Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rulizovisk's Raimundo Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Tupi's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Mattos came free, but Luciano Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67thth minute of the game Hernani Mattos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tupi's Luciano Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Hernani Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Rulizovisk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Mattos couldn't finish the play. Aloísio Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rulizovisk had played much better football throughout.
