The tension between the LUNA F.C and the Stants Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, LUNA F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Custódio to maneuver through the defense. Jailson Velasco came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by LUNA F.C's Nilson Romero. But to his dismay, Nilson Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Laerte Fernandes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Washington Pereira's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Dida Favoretto hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Washington Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Laerte Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. LUNA F.C's Laerte Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Pereira in the 26th minute of play. Evandro Lucas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laerte Fernandes having to make a save. Evandro Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inácio de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laerte Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Evandro Lucas sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Lima struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Laerte Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stants Germany. Evandro Lucas succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Evandro Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 55thth minute of the game Washington Pereira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LUNA F.C's Laerte Fernandes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramón de Mendonça during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Washington Pereira in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laerte Fernandes saved LUNA F.C from getting behind. Laerte Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Lucas in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Washington Pereira made a precise shot to the right of Laerte Fernandes.
