Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as Cruxeiro AD's Vágner Dionísio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edson Aguiar. In the 19th minute Hernani Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iuri Romero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernani Mattos went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Cruxeiro AD's zone, Joélson Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iuri Romero came out of the goal and Joélson Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Nicolas Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélder Couto during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Hernani Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rulizovisk's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernani Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

A collision led to Rulizovisk getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Joélson Magalhães hit a great ball. Rulizovisk's Edson Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Dionísio in the 57th minute of play. When Cláudio Dionísio fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruxeiro AD's protests and gave Cláudio Dionísio a yellow card for diving instead. 61 minutes into the game, César Massa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruxeiro AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rulizovisk the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cruxeiro AD's César Massa got a free kick in the 61st minute.
