After a rather tough play, Araucaria's André Melo got a free kick in the 6th minute. When Márcio Lara came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Sambaqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Márcio Lara couldn't finish the play. Manfredo Marquez struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Aníbal Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araucaria. Mário Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Aníbal Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Lúcio Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aníbal Lima made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Waldir Cunha sent off a good shot on target. Kauã Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Araucaria's Válter Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Araucaria from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes into the game, Manfredo Marquez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Aníbal Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aníbal Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfredo Marquez in the 85th minute of the match.
