Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) After some careless play in the Corinthians defense, Xu Ao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of César Damião. The Corinthians fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that César Damião should have stopped the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Final FT's goalkeeper Didi do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonsinho Mendes. Corinthians were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Final FT's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Régis Santos took the corner. Régis Santos made a great header on Corinthians's corner, it was just that Final FT's Didi do Vale managed to reach the ball for a save. Terry Butcher hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. César Damião came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Final FT's Samuel Quintal. But to his dismay, Samuel Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Régis Santos fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corinthians's protests and gave Régis Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Régis Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Quintal in the 23rd minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper César Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonsinho Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimir de Amaral hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Xu Ao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Final FT booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Raí Cabral hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Régis Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xu Ao might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over César Damião. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xu Ao ran back to his position shaking his head. After 47 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir de Amaral. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonsinho Mendes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos de Amaral in the 53rd minute of play forced Final FT's goalkeeper Didi do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Serafim Lago fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Final FT's protests and gave Serafim Lago a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Quintal in the 59th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper César Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Samuel Quintal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of César Damião, 0-3. With an all-out effort, Final FT's César Damião threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Samuel Quintal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 64th match minute, Final FT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Butcher to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Afonsinho Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Afonsinho Mendes sped through Final FT's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Didi do Vale. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonsinho Mendes in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Didi do Vale saved Final FT from getting behind. In the 87th minute Claudinei Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xu Ao got free with César Damião in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Hoffmann came free, but César Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Final FT's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
