Spectators: 7355 (Terracing: 5517, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 147) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Thiago Matos made the kick off which started today's match. Fausto Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Mattos in the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Manuel Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Matos took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Tinoco. Celso Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After having played for 26 minutes, André Luís Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tercado's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Luís Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gilmar Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tercado's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sidney Gerber in the 31st minute. The corner ended in Lúcio Quirino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Canto do Rio's Fausto Simões did a great save. After 32 played minutes Tercado got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Mattos. In the 33rd minute, Canto do Rio's Thiago Matos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 38 minutes into the game, Thiago Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Celso Tinoco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute André Luís Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Matos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-1 in the 45th playminute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar Duarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Luizão Zonta came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Canto do Rio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luizão Zonta couldn't finish the play. Celso Tinoco came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Canto do Rio's Thiago Matos. But to his dismay, Thiago Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 59th minute, Thiago Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celso Tinoco was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tercado's goalkeeper Celso Tinoco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luizão Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luizão Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Celso Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thiago Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celso Tinoco came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Canto do Rio's Luizão Zonta. But to his dismay, Luizão Zonta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. In the 88th minute Thiago Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bruno Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Thiago Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
