The supporters of Libanesa booed when Ramalho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramalho's Gerson Teles couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Libanesa. Percy de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Barros having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Percy de Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Barros was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Luís Fernando Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Allan Severo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ramalho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Severo couldn't finish the play. Wilton Quadros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Allan Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celso Barros made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Allan Severo sent off a good shot on target. Allan Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Celso Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Percy de Sousa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ramalho's goalkeeper Nilton de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luís Fernando Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Percy de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Celso Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Pedro Augusto Vergílio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 79th minute, Genílson Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Libanesa's Pedro Augusto Vergílio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nilton de Almeida. Nilton de Almeida yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Celso Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percy de Sousa in the 85th minute of play. Allan Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Celso Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Percy de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramalho's Allan Severo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Libanesa's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
