Spectators: 5115 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 115) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elivélton Andrade started the match with the kick off. Cláudio Moura struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Evaristo Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ventania. In the 7th match minute, Guirapa SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio Novaes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Belmiro Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ventania's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Paraíba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Ventania's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Andrade came free, but Juninho Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Evaristo Quadros made a huge save. With a little luck, Guirapa SC's Evaristo Quadros got control of the ball when Cláudio Moura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cláudio Mouras short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Evaristo Quadros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aloísio Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juninho Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cláudio Moura to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Velasco in the 50th minute of play forced Guirapa SC's goalkeeper Evaristo Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elivélton Andrade took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juninho Guedes. Juninho Guedes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Elivélton Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juninho Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Ventania's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aloísio Soeiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Velasco in the 61st minute of play forced Guirapa SC's goalkeeper Evaristo Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noel Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Gomes lost his temper 64 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guirapa SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Moura in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Quadros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Guirapa SC booed when Ventania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mao Xun Jun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st match minute, Guirapa SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio Novaes to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the game, Noel Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ventania's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guirapa SC the free kick. A collision led to Ventania getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Noel Araújo hit a great ball. If Edvaldo Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91st play minutes Edvaldo Velasco shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Evaristo Quadros and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 98th minute Cláudio Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guirapa SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ventania.
