One of Açougue Santa Maria:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montevideu:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Félix in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Augusto da Rocha saved Montevideu from getting behind. Carlos Augusto da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Félix in the 66th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caco Vidal got free with Angelo Sotero in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio do Nascimento in the 72nd minute of play forced Açougue Santa Maria's goalkeeper Angelo Sotero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
