Spectators: 6400 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Toninho Pinho got the match started through his kick off. In the 8th minute, Elivélton Andrade fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Giovani Lopez, passed just outside the right post. Giovani Lopez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aloísio Soeiro in the 16th minute. Luiz de Mendonça's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Giovani Lopez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cruzeiro Porto Alegre's Giovani Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Andrade in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Aloísio Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guirapa SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giovani Lopez was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Elivélton Andrade capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elivélton Andrade really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Rony Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Guirapa SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Rony Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Luiz de Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovani Lopez. Cruzeiro Porto Alegre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz de Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 37th minute, Elivélton Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aloísio Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Porto Alegre's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Andrade came free, but Giovani Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aloísio Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giovani Lopez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guirapa SC's Luiz de Mendonça got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guirapa SC's zone, Toninho Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Quadros came out of the goal and Toninho Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elivélton Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fábio Mendes got free with Evaristo Quadros in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz de Mendonça during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Guirapa SC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Luiz de Mendonça hit a great ball. Silas Viana hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Giovani Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Guirapa SC booed when Cruzeiro Porto Alegre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 minutes of play, Guirapa SC's Elivélton Andrade made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giovani Lopez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aloísio Soeiro in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovani Lopez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Alagoano during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elivélton Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Lopez having to interfere. The supporters of Cruzeiro Porto Alegre booed when Guirapa SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giovani Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Guirapa SC's Aloísio Soeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giovani Lopez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Elivélton Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Lopez having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guirapa SC fully deserved thier win.
