Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 12 minutes into the match, CAPE TOWN MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Abraão came free, but Juninho Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ouricana FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Benê Barbosa hit a great ball. Alexsandro de Barros got in the 15th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Cleiton Campidelis handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Juninho Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CAPE TOWN MZC's Juninho Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Abraão in the 20th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Ouricana FC's Teodoro Furlan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juninho Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexsandro de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexsandro de Barros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cleiton Campidelis. That made the score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodoro Furlan in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute Teodoro Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ouricana FC's zone, Ernesto Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleiton Campidelis came out of the goal and Ernesto Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cleiton Campidelis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexsandro de Barros in the 41st minute. Ouricana FC's Teodoro Furlan got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro Furlan was the one to do the kick off. Silas Bueno hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ernesto Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leonardo Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Ernesto Miranda sped through Ouricana FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cleiton Campidelis. After 84 played minutes Ouricana FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Paraíba. After a defensive mix-up in Ouricana FC's zone, Alexsandro de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleiton Campidelis came out of the goal and Alexsandro de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cleiton Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Alexsandro de Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cleiton Campidelis having to make a save. The supporters of CAPE TOWN MZC booed when Ouricana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cleiton Campidelis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Miranda's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. If Ernesto Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
