Spectators: 5115 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 115) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ernesto Miranda took the kick off in the first half of the match. Juninho Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horácio Brodel was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 7 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the game, one of CAPE TOWN MZC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Ventania. Belmiro Paraíba stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juninho Antunes. 1-0. Cláudio Mouras short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Juninho Antunes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Juninho Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvaldo Velasco in the 14th minute of the match. Alexsandro de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Guedes having to interfere. After some careless play in the CAPE TOWN MZC defense, Cláudio Moura kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juninho Antunes. The CAPE TOWN MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juninho Antunes should have stopped the shot. In the 34th match minute, CAPE TOWN MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. After 37 played minutes Ventania got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Moura. Edvaldo Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Juninho Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Cláudio Moura got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Cláudio Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juninho Antunes was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cláudio Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Humberto Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ventania's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CAPE TOWN MZC the free kick. Humberto Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Moura in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juninho Antunes saved CAPE TOWN MZC from getting behind. The supporters of Ventania booed when CAPE TOWN MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the CAPE TOWN MZC defense, Edvaldo Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juninho Antunes. The CAPE TOWN MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juninho Antunes should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ventania getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Mao Xun Jun hit a great ball. When Alexsandro de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the CAPE TOWN MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexsandro de Barros couldn't finish the play. CAPE TOWN MZC's Juninho Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Moura in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Cláudio Moura notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of CAPE TOWN MZC's Juninho Antunes. Juninho Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 90 played minutes Ventania got a freekick which was hit by Dino Xavier. Juninho Guedes made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Alexsandro de Barros sent off a good shot on target. Juninho Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cláudio Moura's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ventania fully deserved thier win.
