Kiko Galvão started the match with the kick off. When Ramón Madureira fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored G.F. Baruerinthians's protests and gave Ramón Madureira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Ramón Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Montevideu's Umberto Simão tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Eusébio do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Afonso Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Negri having to interfere. G.F. Baruerinthians's Afonso Negri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save G.F. Baruerinthians from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the game, Clemente Dante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montevideu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave G.F. Baruerinthians the free kick. Clemente Dante hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Montevideu's Carlos Augusto da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kiko Galvão in the 23rd minute of play. Kiko Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Murillo Severo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Murillo Severo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Augusto da Rocha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Murillo Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot. G.F. Baruerinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Murillo Severo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Augusto da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kiko Galvão in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Augusto da Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso Negri didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Montevideu's Eusébio do Nascimento shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Kiko Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. G.F. Baruerinthians's Kiko Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murillo Severo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Augusto da Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Montevideu's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Galvão came free, but Carlos Augusto da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 42nd minute of the match Clemente Dante completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Clemente Dante a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 42nd minute, Clemente Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murillo Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Carlos Augusto da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kiko Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the G.F. Baruerinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kiko Galvão couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Caco Vidal made the kick off in the second half. Caco Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Negri having to interfere. If Murillo Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Augusto da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko Galvão, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Murillo Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute Kiko Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Hudson Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Montevideu's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Galvão came free, but Carlos Augusto da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusébio do Nascimento hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Murillo Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto da Rocha having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hudson Paraibano during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, G.F. Baruerinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Severo to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Umberto Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, G.F. Baruerinthians's Carlos Augusto da Rocha threw himself towards the right post 99 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kiko Galvão, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
