Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicolas Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Umberto Simão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Neves skillfully saved the ball. Rodolfo Neves came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Montevideu's Caco Vidal. But to his dismay, Caco Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Montevideu's Caco Vidal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rodolfo Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Dante in the 27th minute of play. Technow FC's Rodolfo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Vidal in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Montevideu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Eliézer Oliveira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 30th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Carlos Augusto da Rocha was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Eliézer Oliveira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliézer Oliveira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The supporters of Montevideu booed when Technow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Montevideu getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Clemente Dante hit a great ball. If Durval Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliézer Oliveira to make the kick off. Eusébio do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Durval Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eliézer Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Augusto da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Neves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Oswaldo Varela fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Technow FC's protests and gave Oswaldo Varela a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Montevideu booed when Technow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Montevideu's Caco Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Technow FC's Rodolfo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio do Nascimento in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Technow FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Varela to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Montevideu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
