Giovani Lopez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hélio Campidelis's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Fábio Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Silas Viana notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Nois Que Voa's Eliseu Guerra. Eliseu Guerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cruzeiro Porto Alegre's Silas Viana suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 21st match minute, Nois Que Voa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Décio Proença to maneuver through the defense. Nois Que Voa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Toninho Pinho scored to the left of an out of position Eliseu Guerra, making the score, 2-1. Décio Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, Cruzeiro Porto Alegre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Pinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Baltazar Cardozo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giovani Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Campidelis in the 33rd minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Décio Proença put in a rough tackle. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nois Que Voa's goalkeeper Eliseu Guerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Nois Que Voa's Baltazar Cardozo got a free kick in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Baltazar Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovani Lopez. Cruzeiro Porto Alegre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltazar Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Nois Que Voa's Eliseu Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Nois Que Voa from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Mendes made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Nois Que Voa's Hélio Campidelis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Nois Que Voa's Eliseu Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Rosa in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Porto Alegre's goalkeeper Giovani Lopez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltazar Cardozo. Hélio Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Lopez having to interfere. Cruzeiro Porto Alegre's Giovani Lopez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Cruzeiro Porto Alegre from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Porto Alegre's Toninho Pinho got a free kick in the 69th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Cruzeiro Porto Alegre:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nois Que Voa:s goal. The goalkeeper, Giovani Lopez, was totally fooled by Nois Que Voa's Delfim Veloso, who 77 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Giovani Lopez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baltazar Cardozo in the 87th minute. The supporters of Nois Que Voa booed when Cruzeiro Porto Alegre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseu Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Nois Que Voa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
