After a defensive mix-up in Solar Paulistano's zone, Júlio Maia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmundo Salles came out of the goal and Júlio Maia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Galáticos MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho Bastos came free, but Maurinho Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Galáticos MZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
