Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fausto Arruda started the match with the kick off. Belmiro Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Beto Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes Impávido Galcölosso EC got a freekick which was hit by Benê Tróia. In the 21st minute, João Paulo Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Impávido Galcölosso EC's Fausto Arruda managed to work through Rossensal's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fausto Arruda dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Arruda in the 27th minute of play forced Rossensal's goalkeeper Diguinho Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doctor Sócrates made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Maciel in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Lucas Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When João Paulo Damião came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Impávido Galcölosso EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Damião couldn't finish the play. João Paulo Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Fausto Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Rossensal's Tales Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doctor Sócrates narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The wind increased when Belmiro Maciel made the kick off in the second half. Fábio Motta's late challenge caught a Rossensal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fábio Motta helped the player get up and apologised. Fábio Motta hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rossensal's goalkeeper Diguinho Queiroz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 68 minutes, João Paulo Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Impávido Galcölosso EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Impávido Galcölosso EC's Benê Tróia pulled a muscle in his leg after 69 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Lucas Pernambucano fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rossensal's protests and gave Lucas Pernambucano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Lucas Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Pernambucano hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Diguinho Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Paulo Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Fausto Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Impávido Galcölosso EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diguinho Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tales Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doctor Sócrates having to interfere. Fausto Arruda scored 1-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diguinho Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Belmiro Maciel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doctor Sócrates was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Doctor Sócrates made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Maciel in the 97th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
