Claudinho Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Maciel in the 4th minute of play forced Club dei Fratelli's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Roberto Dantas made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Célio Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Jorginho Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antônio Carlos Leme having to make a save. Club dei Fratelli's Zé Roberto Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Célio Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fortaleza EC's Rodrigo Maciel got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Leme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorginho Miranda went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorginho Miranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Antônio Carlos Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorginho Miranda in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antônio Carlos Leme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Roberto Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antônio Carlos Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Miranda in the 81st minute of the match. A collision led to Club dei Fratelli getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Matías Fonseca hit a great ball. Club dei Fratelli's Antônio Carlos Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Miranda in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Rodrigo Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortaleza EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorginho Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Leme having to interfere. In the 90thth minute of the game Jorginho Miranda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club dei Fratelli's Antônio Carlos Leme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Fabiano Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 95 played minutes, Club dei Fratelli's Cristóvão Sarmento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zé Roberto Dantas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club dei Fratelli reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Miranda in the 98th minute of play forced Club dei Fratelli's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fortaleza EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
