The referee ignored Cratheus SS's protests and gave Deivid de Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Pedro Luís França hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Edu Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Marques having to interfere. If Edu Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doriva Marques was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zé Paulo Sabóia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 71 minute of play.
