After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for VIDAL FC! The goalkeeper, Amadeu Prata, was totally fooled by Bella Ginga FC's Diguinho Messias, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Thanks to some nice moves Lenílson de Almeida could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Amadeu Prata however easily saved by the left post. Amadeu Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes VIDAL FC got a freekick which was hit by Marco Matos. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Vitinho Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bella Ginga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitinho Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lenílson de Almeida who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Amadeu Prata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Amadeu Prata stood somewhat misplaced when Vitinho Pimenta came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 22 minute. Lenílson de Almeida in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amadeu Prata, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Amadeu Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes, Luís Fernando de Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VIDAL FC and the Bella Ginga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to VIDAL FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Luís Fernando de Queirós hit a great ball. Amadeu Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bella Ginga FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fernando de Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. Vitinho Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Amadeu Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lenílson de Almeida in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Prata saved VIDAL FC from getting behind. Ricardo Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Vitinho Pimenta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeu Prata. VIDAL FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitinho Pimenta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Abelardo de Moraes hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Lenílson de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Prata having to interfere. Amadeu Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Vitinho Pimenta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Prata was relentless in the 78th minute of the game.
