The crowd rose to their feet as Guzolândia FC's Otávio Tinoco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Brodel. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Otávio Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guzolândia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dagoberto Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Mattos in the 20th minute of play forced Guzolândia FC's goalkeeper André Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 played minutes Guzolândia FC got a freekick which was hit by Dito Rosa. After 24 played minutes Guzolândia FC got a freekick which was hit by Dito Rosa. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Otávio Tinoco made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Mangueira in the 51st minute of play forced Guzolândia FC's goalkeeper André Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 51 minutes into the game, Dito Rosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guzolândia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hinterhoff Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 52nd minute, Dito Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Hinterhoff Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Prata came free, but Erik Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hinterhoff Futebol Clube's Vivaldo Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvério Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Erik Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute Otávio Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Prado in the 88th minute of play forced Hinterhoff Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Erik Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Otávio Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hinterhoff Futebol Clube booed when Guzolândia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hinterhoff Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Guzolândia FC.
