With a little luck, SÂO BERNArDO FC's Christiano Peres got control of the ball when Lenílson de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Hermínio de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the SÂO BERNArDO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio de Moraes couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vivaldo Maranhense during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bella Ginga FC booed when SÂO BERNArDO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Vitinho Pimenta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christiano Peres. The goal made the score 1-0. After a rather tough play, SÂO BERNArDO FC's Walmyr Vidal got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Vivaldo Maranhense was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. The supporters of Bella Ginga FC booed when SÂO BERNArDO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christiano Peres acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Diguinho Messias. In the 27th minute Vitinho Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes, Lenílson de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bella Ginga FC and the SÂO BERNArDO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lenílson de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Lenílson de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Vitinho Pimenta sped through SÂO BERNArDO FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christiano Peres. A hard shot 37 in the game by Lenílson de Almeida from a close distance when the talented Christiano Peres managed to make a qualified save. SÂO BERNArDO FC's players were relieved. Vitinho Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Christiano Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vitinho Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Bella Ginga FC fans jumped to their feet. If Lenílson de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitinho Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

A very good chance for a goal. When Téo Cabral fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bella Ginga FC's protests and gave Téo Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Téo Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermínio de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jem Chlebek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Bella Ginga FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Quirino. In the 68thth minute of the game Lenílson de Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SÂO BERNArDO FC's Christiano Peres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute Lenílson de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson de Almeida in the 71st minute of play forced SÂO BERNArDO FC's goalkeeper Christiano Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diguinho Messias missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 76 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Christiano Peres right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Vitinho Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bella Ginga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitinho Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiano Peres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lenílson de Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christiano Peres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. If Vitinho Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bella Ginga FC booed when SÂO BERNArDO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 99 minutes into the match, Lenílson de Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christiano Peres. SÂO BERNArDO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lenílson de Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Bella Ginga FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
