VIDAL FC were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after D1 SportS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Laerte de Moraes took the corner. After taking down the ball on VIDAL FC's corner Laerte de Moraes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valdomiro França quite easily take care of the ball. 9 minutes into the match Marcos Vasconcelos climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Amadeu Prata. 13 minutes into the game, Walmyr Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VIDAL FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave D1 SportS the free kick. Walmyr Penha hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute D1 SportS were awarded a corner. Emerson Cordeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. D1 SportS's Emerson Cordeiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amadeu Prata in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando de Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdomiro França. D1 SportS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Fernando de Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 24 minutes into the game, Tales Negri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. D1 SportS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VIDAL FC the free kick. A collision led to D1 SportS getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Tales Negri hit a great ball. Valdomiro França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte de Moraes in the 25th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, D1 SportS's Marcos Vasconcelos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeu Prata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amadeu Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Marcos Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Amadeu Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Prata having to interfere. Gil Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fernando de Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of VIDAL FC booed when D1 SportS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in VIDAL FC's zone, Marcos Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Prata came out of the goal and Marcos Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Gil Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. D1 SportS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Arósio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. VIDAL FC's Amadeu Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Arósio in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of D1 SportS booed when VIDAL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, D1 SportS's Emerson Cordeiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gil Arósio struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Amadeu Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for D1 SportS. After 67 minutes, José Pedro Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the D1 SportS and the VIDAL FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, D1 SportS's José Pedro Sanches got a free kick in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Arósio in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu Prata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. VIDAL FC's Amadeu Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Arósio in the 73rd minute of play. When Marcos Vasconcelos came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the D1 SportS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Vasconcelos couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute, José Pedro Sanches made a precise shot to the right of Amadeu Prata. VIDAL FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 82 minutes, Luís Fernando de Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VIDAL FC and the D1 SportS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Luís Fernando de Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, VIDAL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Vasconcelos came free, but Amadeu Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. D1 SportS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
