When Vítor Santana fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Os Brabos's protests and gave Vítor Santana a yellow card for diving instead. Os Brabos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luizinho Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvério Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Camerino having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Otávio Tinoco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guzolândia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vítor Santana made the kick off in the second half. Vítor Santana hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Tomas Camerino made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Silvério Prado sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Os Brabos defense, Silvério Prado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Camerino. After 74 minutes, Dito Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guzolândia FC and the Os Brabos players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Vítor Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Santana in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Silvério Prado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guzolândia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When the final whistle went the supporters of Guzolândia FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Os Brabos side.
