After a rather tough play, Saycan FC's Cristóvão de Amorim got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Gualter Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Diamantino Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Gualter Paiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diamantino Zonta. Saycan FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gualter Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cido Terra might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diamantino Zonta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cido Terra ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th match minute, Macaé Esporte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Paiva to maneuver through the defense. If Gualter Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Breckenfeld took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diamantino Zonta. Saycan FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Saycan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Paiva came free, but Diamantino Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualter Paiva took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diamantino Zonta. Diamantino Zonta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 37th match minute, Saycan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Netto to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute of the match Ricardinho Torres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino Zonta skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Paiva in the 41st minute of play forced Saycan FC's goalkeeper Diamantino Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Saycan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cido Terra came free, but Diamantino Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

52 minutes into the game, Marcelo Custódio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macaé Esporte FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saycan FC the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, Macaé Esporte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Custódio to maneuver through the defense. Saycan FC's Diamantino Zonta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Saycan FC from getting a goal against them. Diamantino Zonta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cido Terra in the 57th minute. When Bernardo Breckenfeld fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macaé Esporte FC's protests and gave Bernardo Breckenfeld a yellow card for diving instead. Cido Terra was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Macaé Esporte FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 73 minutes in the game, Gualter Paiva fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Diamantino Zonta having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gualter Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Zonta was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Cido Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saycan FC's Diamantino Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Paiva in the 79th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Saycan FC got a freekick which was hit by Válter Netto. In the 81st minute of the match, Cido Terra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Diamantino Zonta was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Diamantino Zonta stood somewhat misplaced when Cido Terra came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 83 minute. Gualter Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Zonta having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Cido Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macaé Esporte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Macaé Esporte FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
