After a defensive mix-up in Papary EC's zone, Dráuzio Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Zonta came out of the goal and Dráuzio Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Papary EC's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Meira came free, but Jorge Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeu Rossi got free with Raúl Aguiar in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dráuzio Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Zonta having to interfere. Claudinho Leal hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Houston FC's Claudinho Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Houston FC's Raúl Aguiar got control of the ball when Amadeu Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line.
