Júlio Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Vides the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Júlio Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Jarbas Souto came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Invernada's Júlio Vides. But to his dismay, Júlio Vides quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jarbas Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Vides in the 27th minute of the match. When Luiz Gustavo Borges got free in front of the goal in the 29th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jarbas Souto was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Potyrendaba's Tiago Gabriel de Barros got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Jarbas Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Vides in the 36th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matías Prata during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Potyrendaba's Matías Prata got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arlindo Salgado was the one to do the kick off. 62 minutes into the match, Invernada's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Corrêa came free, but Hamílton Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Arlindo Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Invernada's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Corrêa came free, but Hamílton Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Souto having to interfere. The supporters of Invernada booed when Potyrendaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Luiz Gustavo Borges got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jarbas Souto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 82nd minute, Invernada's Júlio Vides ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jarbas Souto. Jarbas Souto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Potyrendaba's zone, Júlio Vides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Souto came out of the goal and Júlio Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 played minutes Potyrendaba got a freekick which was hit by Nilmar Soares. After some careless play in the Potyrendaba defense, Júlio Vides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarbas Souto. The Potyrendaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarbas Souto should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Potyrendaba getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Tiago Gabriel de Barros hit a great ball.
