Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dino Urbano got the match started through his kick off. Pedrinho Xavier charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedrinho Xavier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, S.E. Palmeiras's Pedrinho Xavier got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Ronaldinho Ferreira hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. A collision led to Meriti getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Valle hit a great ball. Cleiton Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Ramos having to interfere. Dino Urbano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Ramos came out and tried to block the shot, but Dino Urbano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Cleiton Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meriti's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleiton Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Ramos having to make a save. 37 minutes into the game, Elias Cosme recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oscar Ramos. Elias Cosme showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in S.E. Palmeiras's zone, Cleiton Dracena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Ramos came out of the goal and Cleiton Dracena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the game, Meriti's Dino Urbano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gláuber de Toledo made a kick off. S.E. Palmeiras's Oscar Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Urbano in the 53rd minute of play. Oscar Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Amorim in the 55th minute of play. Cleiton Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Ramos having to interfere. Franklin Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Oscar Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Urbano took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Ramos. Oscar Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 65 minutes into the match, Cleiton Dracena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Ramos. S.E. Palmeiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cleiton Dracena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dino Urbano in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, Meriti's Edgard Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oscar Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Franklin Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 minutes, Dino Urbano made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. S.E. Palmeiras's Oscar Ramos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. S.E. Palmeiras's Oscar Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleiton Dracena in the 78th minute of play. Edgard Amorim took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Ramos. Meriti's Elias Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dino Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Edgard Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elias Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Oscar Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Meriti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
