Papary EC's Yuri Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Elias de Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bad Boys FC's Elias de Moraes came free and shot a quick shot against goal 26 minutes in the game, fortunately Jorge Zonta had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 29 minutes into the match, Papary EC's goalkeeper Jorge Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elias de Moraes. In the 30th match minute, Papary EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Elias de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Elias de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Bad Boys FC fans jumped to their feet. If Amadeu Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Bad Boys FC got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Rosado. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Mané Negri made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Silas Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papary EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renatinho Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
