Sidney Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabinho Neiva in the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Preguica getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Zé Pedro Falcão hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Waldemar Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Recordacao getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Régis Sanches hit a great ball. After 12 minutes of play, Recordacao's Roberto Cordeiro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Paulo Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roberto Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Azevedo having to interfere. Luís Paulo Azevedo came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Recordacao's Roberto Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Roberto Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Luís Paulo Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Roberto Cordeiro let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 39th minute shot 4-0 at rihgt post. The throw-in from Kauan Urbano in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Recordacao's Ezequiel Rossi. In the 46th minute, Wágner Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Cordeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. If Fabinho Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Paulo Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Cordeiro in the 58th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Roberto Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Preguica's Luís Paulo Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Acácio Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Paulo Azevedo. Preguica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Roberto Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recordacao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Wágner Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Roberto Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Paulo Azevedo was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Preguica's Luís Paulo Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Cordeiro in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Preguica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roberto Cordeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Recordacao's players had a chance to rest. Lúcio Berger hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Fabinho Neiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidney Pombal was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. The supporters of Preguica booed when Recordacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Régis Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Recordacao's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Umberto Fantini fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Roberto Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Recordacao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. Luís Paulo Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Recordacao's goalkeeper Sidney Pombal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, Wágner Nascimento notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Preguica's Luís Paulo Azevedo. Luís Paulo Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Recordacao had played much better football throughout.
