Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) FloripaSlayers's Diogo de Toledo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th match minute, A.E.Santacruzense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho de Souza to maneuver through the defense. Valdo Pirani was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Perivaldo Gerber showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Diogo de Toledo took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised William Simão. William Simão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Perivaldo Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Pirani having to interfere. After a rather tough play, A.E.Santacruzense's Deivid Prestes got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 37th minute, Rodolfo Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Diogo de Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Simão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perivaldo Gerber to make the kick off. William Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diogo de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as FloripaSlayers's Dário Rocha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of William Simão. That made the score 1-4 after 73 minutes of play. Perivaldo Gerber scored 2-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdo Pirani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alex Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. William Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
