A hard shot 15 in the game by Fred Marquez from a close distance when the talented Ediberto Jacinto managed to make a qualified save. Mutum SS's players were relieved. Fred Marquez came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ediberto Jacinto could save by the left post. Fred Marquezs short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Ediberto Jacinto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 24th minute Armando Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fellipe Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mutum SS booed when F C Metropolitan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Fred Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 35 minutes, Flávio Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mutum SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flávio Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Fred Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Marquez in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ediberto Jacinto saved Mutum SS from getting behind. Fred Marquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ediberto Jacinto having to make a save. In the 62nd minute, Fred Marquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ediberto Jacinto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mutum SS's goalkeeper Ediberto Jacinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fred Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ediberto Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Horácio Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Jacinto having to interfere. Flávio Barreto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Fellipe Souto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mutum SS's Ediberto Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Marquez in the 86th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fred Marquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ediberto Jacinto was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Ediberto Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Mutum SS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented F C Metropolitan from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
