Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 0) Cruzes's Jânio Mandrak started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oséias Vidal in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Roberto Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rômulo de Souza struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Zé Roberto Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caveira SC. Oséias Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Cruzes's Jarbas Madureira got a free kick in the 8th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rômulo de Souza was the one to do the kick off. Oséias Vidal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Zé Roberto Cruz made a huge save.
