The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Tabocão FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Álvaro Faria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldinho Tinoco skillfully saved the ball. When Juan Sena came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Jegues FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Sena couldn't finish the play. Osvaldinho Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. It was beautiful to see Tabocão FC's Tomás Arósio in action when he in the 14th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Tabocão FC's Jefferson Vander got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Tabocão FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jarbas Medeiros hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Tabocão FC's Haroldo Damião dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Jegues FC's goalkeeper Arlindo Monteiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Maria Abreu. Jegues FC's Arlindo Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Jegues FC from getting a goal against them. Osvaldinho Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Juan Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Arlindo Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitório Leal in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldinho Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Tabocão FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Haroldo Damião hit a great ball. In the 40thth minute of the game Thiago Prata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tabocão FC's Osvaldinho Tinoco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Cauan de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jegues FC's protests and gave Cauan de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. Cauan de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If José Maria Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Amorim in the 45th minute of play forced Tabocão FC's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldinho Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Osvaldinho Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Prata in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jefferson Vander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Haroldo Damião might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arlindo Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Damião ran back to his position shaking his head. Gabriel Paraibano's late challenge caught a Jegues FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Paraibano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Jegues FC booed when Tabocão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldinho Tinoco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitório Leal in the 57th minute. Jefferson Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Arlindo Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Jegues FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Brodel. José Maria Abreu took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arlindo Monteiro. Arlindo Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 69th minute, José Maria Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arlindo Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Arlindo Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Maia in the 75th minute of the match. Álvaro Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Faria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Álvaro Faria hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Tabocão FC's Tomás Arósio in action when he in the 83rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. But to his dismay, José Maria Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Virgílio Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Osvaldinho Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. If Jefferson Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tabocão FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
