Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Silas Barbosa took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rafa Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho Paranaense in the 5th minute of play. Fronteiro's Ediberto de Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willian Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes Fronteiro got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Berger. Niterói FC's Rafa Pires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Niterói FC from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the match, Fronteiro's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Freitas came free, but Willian Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Geovani Bezerra notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Fronteiro's Willian Dias. Willian Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ediberto de Moraes made a kick off. Noel Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Álvaro França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto de Moraes in the 64th minute of play forced Niterói FC's goalkeeper Rafa Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafa Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 72nd minute Ediberto de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Fronteiro getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Wágner Arce hit a great ball. In the 76th minute Renatinho Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fronteiro's Renatinho Mandrak got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 80 played minutes Niterói FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Hoffmann. 83 minutes into the game, Geovani Bezerra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Willian Dias. Geovani Bezerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Niterói FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Noel Sanches in the 87th minute. After taking down the ball on Niterói FC's corner Luisinho Abraão fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Willian Dias quite easily take care of the ball. In the 91st minute, Juarês Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 played minutes Fronteiro got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Arce. When the final whistle sounded Niterói FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fronteiro.
