The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Colorado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Viana to maneuver through the defense. Silas Barbosa scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fernando Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rafa Pires was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gláuber Pirani showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 9 minute of play. In the 18th minute, Lenílson Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th play minute Gláuber Pirani came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rafa Pires. 2-2. In the 30th minute of the match, Gláuber Pirani got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rafa Pires was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luís Fernando Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovani Bezerra in the 31st minute of the match. Colorado's João Paulo Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Colorado's Erasmo Hermes got a free kick in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Bezerra in the 39th minute of play forced Colorado's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fernando Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovani Bezerra in the 41st minute of the match. Edgar Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

Colorado's Luís Fernando Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Bezerra in the 67th minute of play. Leandro Hames kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Carlos Freitas got free with Luís Fernando Castro in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st match minute, Niterói FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Neto to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Paranaense, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. In the 90th minute, Colorado's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Antônio Carlos Freitas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Silas Barbosa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Fernando Castro. That made the score 3-10 in the 93 minute of play. The Niterói FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
