Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cláudio Neiva started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilvan Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gonçalo Chaves. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. When Renato Botelho fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fronteiras EC's protests and gave Renato Botelho a yellow card for diving instead. Renato Botelho hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, Carandahy's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Botelho came free, but Mané Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Gilvan Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gonçalo Chaves, 2-0. Gonçalo Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Costa in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Fronteiras EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Carandahy's Mané Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Neiva in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Carandahy's Willian Vale got a free kick in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseu Paraibano in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mané Koehler saved Carandahy from getting behind. Gilvan Costa struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Gonçalo Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carandahy. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléberson Lago during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Eliseu Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fronteiras EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mané Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luan Eger during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luan Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilvan Costa made a kick off. Cláudio Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Mané Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Pires scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gonçalo Chaves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 56 minutes in the game, Cláudio Neiva fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mané Koehler having to interfere. The Fronteiras EC fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Fronteiras EC's Eliseu Paraibano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eliseu Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Fronteiras EC booed when Carandahy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mané Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Munhoz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Carandahy's Cléberson Lago got a free kick in the 80th minute. Cláudio Fontes hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Luiz Paulo Pires scored 4-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gonçalo Chaves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Eliseu Paraibano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mané Koehler. Carandahy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseu Paraibano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Carandahy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
