Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ademir Martins kicked off to start the match. José Simões came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Niterói FC's Geovani Bezerra. But to his dismay, Geovani Bezerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 5 played minutes Carnoio FC got a freekick which was hit by Percival Freire. After 7th play minutes Silas Barbosa shot 2-0, a short shot which went by José Simões and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Niterói FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Abel Neto hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Geovani Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antônio Carlos Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. José Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silas Barbosa in the 17th minute. José Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rafa Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Martins in the 26th minute of the match. Silas Barbosas short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got José Simões to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Niterói FC's Silas Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noel Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edgar Hoffmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Simões. Carnoio FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 45 played minutes Niterói FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Neto. Aílton Loureiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafa Pires. Niterói FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Silas Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. 4-0 became the score in the 52nd minute when Silas Barbosa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 56 minutes of play, Niterói FC's Noel Sanches made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Simões was left in no man's land by his defense there! 60 minutes into the match, Niterói FC's goalkeeper Rafa Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Percival Freire. José Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silas Barbosa in the 61st minute of the match. José Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Barbosa in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Silas Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Noel Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovani Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Simões having to interfere. José Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Barbosa in the 71st minute of play. Silas Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Silas Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Carnoio FC booed when Niterói FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafa Pires acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Doriva Valle. In the 82nd minute, Geovani Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Carnoio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Donato to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Noel Sanches in the 89th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the José Simões's left hand side. Silas Barbosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Simões having to make a save. In the 93rd minute of the match Juarês Proença shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Simões showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Carnoio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Barbosa came free, but José Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silas Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Niterói FC had played much better football throughout.
