Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Waldemar Pontes made the kick off and thus started the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Messi in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamílton Rosa saved Ermidinha from getting behind. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristiano Messi sped through Ermidinha's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hamílton Rosa. When Cristiano Messi came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Vale Verde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Messi couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the game, Cristiano Messi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hamílton Rosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 10 minutes of play, Vale Verde's Cristiano Messi made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamílton Rosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Betinho Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Aron Dahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ermidinha booed when Vale Verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute of the match, Váldson Mattos sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Aron Dahlbom showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Vale Verde's Ramiro Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betinho Donatello got free with Aron Dahlbom in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 27 minutes of play, Vale Verde's Cristiano Messi made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamílton Rosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 38 minutes, Sílvio Luís Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermidinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luís Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Vale Verde's Manuel Queirós got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vale Verde's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vale Verde were furious when Alexandre Schmidt was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vale Verde fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Aron Dahlbom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Váldson Mattos went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Vale Verde were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Messi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ermidinha's zone, Cristiano Messi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Rosa came out of the goal and Cristiano Messi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luiz Eduardo Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vale Verde getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Basílio Mazza hit a great ball. A collision led to Ermidinha getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Cristiano Messi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Hamílton Rosa 61 minutes into the match. Hamílton Rosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Messi's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. If Ramiro Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aron Dahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Donatello in the 66th minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Vale Verde's Basílio Mazza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristiano Messi had several of the Ermidinha's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-8 score and a disappointed Hamílton Rosa as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Cristiano Messi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Cristiano Messi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vale Verde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Messi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Messis short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Hamílton Rosa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match was over Vale Verde could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ermidinha throughout the match.
