Spectators: 7375 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Michael Owen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Taurino Santana-Bauzá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano de Amorim in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute Michael Owen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Christiano de Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Taurino Santana-Bauzá was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Leonardo Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Martirio AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Bertassi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Negri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute, Kauã Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Geovani Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan Negri made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Leonardo Bertassi sent off a good shot on target. In the 17thth minute of the game Geovani Vargas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Martirio AD's Taurino Santana-Bauzá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Taurino Santana-Bauzá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Castro in the 19th minute of play. Raí Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Taurino Santana-Bauzá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Martirio AD's goal looked a bit too open when Raí Castro came free, but Taurino Santana-Bauzá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Martirio AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Viana to maneuver through the defense. If Augusto dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raí Castro in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taurino Santana-Bauzá saved Martirio AD from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, Martirio AD's goal looked a bit too open when Christiano de Amorim came free, but Taurino Santana-Bauzá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Owen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Allan Negri came out and tried to block the shot, but Michael Owen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the game, Augusto dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATIVE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Martirio AD the free kick. In the 44th minute, Augusto dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio da Silveira in the 46th minute of play forced ATIVE FC's goalkeeper Allan Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raí Castro made a kick off. Allan Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Owen in the 58th minute of play. Martirio AD made a substitution. Francisco Freitas replaced Flávio da Silveira. Taurino Santana-Bauzá made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geovani Vargas in the 82nd minute. Raí Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taurino Santana-Bauzá having to interfere. Martirio AD's Yuri Meira was substituted for Tony Carneiro. Martirio AD's Jorginho Toscano was substituted for Didi Azevedo.
