After 4 played minutes, Ermidinha's Váldson Mattos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erik Monteiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ermidinha reached it. If Betinho Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natanael Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Betinho Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ermidinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Ermidinha fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Ermidinha's Waldemar Pontes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. SaoPedro's Erik Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Pontes in the 35th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Betinho Donatello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erik Monteiro was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabiano Bezerra was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Waldemar Pontes took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Erik Monteiro to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, SaoPedro's Erik Monteiro got control of the ball when Betinho Donatello tried to sneak it across the goal line.
