In the 19th match minute, Tortinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesley Chaves to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes, SaoPedro's Wiliam Donatello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mané Paulista came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SaoPedro reached it. In the 43rd minute Fabiano Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mané Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natanael Alcântara in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Eurico Amaral made the kick off in the second half. When Fabiano Bezerra came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the SaoPedro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Bezerra couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SaoPedro's zone, Eurico Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Monteiro came out of the goal and Eurico Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natanael Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Paulista having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
