When Kaká Custódio fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tibi FC's protests and gave Kaká Custódio a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro da Mata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juarês Barral. Tibi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gugu Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gugu Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Carioca AD getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Gugu Correia hit a great ball. Belmiro Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio de Toledo in the 31st minute of play forced Tibi FC's goalkeeper Juarês Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes Carioca AD got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Correia. Juarês Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 35 minutes, Simão Araújo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carioca AD and the Tibi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Túlio Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belmiro Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Eusébio de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carioca AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio de Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juarês Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusébio de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Carioca AD's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Abraão came free, but Túlio Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The match ended in a draw.
