Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Waldemar Pontes kicked off to start the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Waldemar Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermidinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Pontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tortinho's Wesley Chaves got a free kick in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Betinho Donatello could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Mané Paulista however easily saved by the left post. In the 11th minute of the match Ermidinha got a corner. Tortinho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Váldson Mattos ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ermidinha's corner Váldson Mattos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mané Paulista quite easily take care of the ball. If Waldemar Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Tortinho's goalkeeper Mané Paulista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Betinho Donatello. 30 minutes into the match, Ermidinha's goal looked a bit too open when Eurico Amaral came free, but Hamílton Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Ulysses Penha made a precise shot to the right of Hamílton Rosa. Ermidinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 42 played minutes Ermidinha got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Brasil. With a little luck, Tortinho's Mané Paulista got control of the ball when Betinho Donatello tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Ermidinha players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tortinho were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Eurico Amaral made the kick off in the second half. The referee gave Ermidinha a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Váldson Mattos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tortinho's Mané Paulista. 1-4. Hamílton Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eurico Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ermidinha's Waldemar Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldemar Pontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mané Paulista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldemar Pontes ran back to his position shaking his head. After 61 minutes, Waldemar Pontes made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Tortinho's Mané Paulista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mané Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Pontes in the 64th minute of the match. Mané Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Pontes in the 66th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Tortinho's Hamílton Rosa threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eurico Amaral, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mané Paulista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Betinho Donatello went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. In the 87th minute, Tortinho's Eurico Amaral dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waldemar Pontes during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute, Luiz Eduardo Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Ulysses Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tortinho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
