Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Inácio Machado made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Correntezas EC's zone, Luiz Fábio Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerson Bittencourt came out of the goal and Luiz Fábio Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tulhas's Alfredo Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Pitta in the 5th minute of play. Alfredo Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Arósio in the 6th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgílio Pitta in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Favoretto saved Tulhas from getting behind. After 13 minutes of play, Tulhas's Inácio Machado made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerson Bittencourt was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Correntezas EC's Virgílio Pitta in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Correntezas EC's Gerson Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Correntezas EC from getting a goal against them. Serginho Vinhas charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serginho Vinhas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Correntezas EC's Baltazar Arósio got a free kick in the 24th minute. Correntezas EC's Gerson Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Correntezas EC from getting a goal against them. Lauro Brodel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Gerson Bittencourt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 32 in the game by Lauro Brodel from a close distance when the talented Gerson Bittencourt managed to make a qualified save. Correntezas EC's players were relieved. Alfredo Favoretto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Pitta's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Inácio Machado took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Gerson Bittencourt to make any attempt to save it. If Inácio Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Pitta in the 43rd minute of play forced Tulhas's goalkeeper Alfredo Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Favoretto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgílio Pitta to strike the kick off in the second half. Correntezas EC were furious when Carlos Eduardo Massa was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 58 played minutes Correntezas EC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Massa. 59 minutes into the match, Correntezas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Mazza came free, but Gerson Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tulhas's goalkeeper Alfredo Favoretto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfredo Favoretto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dé Chaves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 71 minute of play. The supporters of Correntezas EC booed when Tulhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Machado in the 85th minute of play forced Correntezas EC's goalkeeper Gerson Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerson Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Brodel in the 87th minute of play. Aloísio da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dé Chaves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Favoretto having to make a save.
