The audience was convinced that Tiago Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gugu Barreto was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. The throw-in from Ronaldo Arósio in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Império Futebol Clube's Lúcio Costa. The supporters of Vale Verde booed when Império Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Adalberto Vasconcelos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Império Futebol Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
